The successful candidate will manage a cross-functional engineering team deployed into underperforming suppliers with the goal of improving OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance.

This programme will focus on identifying and resolving OTIF issues that arise from purchasing, planning, operational, and quality-related challenges. The Programme Manager will take ownership of programme planning, progress tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and performance reporting to ensure transparent, efficient delivery of improvement actions.

• Coordinate deployment and activities of a team of 6+ engineers across supplier locations.

• Align programme scope with client objectives and OTIF improvement targets impacted by cross-functional supply chain issues.

Progress Tracking & Reporting

• Track performance against programme timelines, escalating deviations and adjusting plans as necessary.

• Lead regular reporting and review cycles, providing clear visibility to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and achievements.

• Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor delivery performance and identify bottlenecks and emerging risks.

Stakeholder & Risk Management

• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders—Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and Quality—to ensure full alignment.

• Identify and manage risks across supplier improvement workstreams, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

• Act as the central point of coordination between client leadership and deployed teams.

Supplier Engagement Oversight

• Oversee structured assessments of supplier capability, capacity, and delivery constraints.

• Ensure engineering teams implement root cause analysis and corrective actions tailored to OTIF-affecting factors across functions.

• Drive consistent delivery of improvement initiatives and short-term expediting efforts to resolve critical part shortages.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all programme activities comply with client policies and industry standards.

• Maintain thorough documentation, including action logs, change requests, and lessons learned.

Key Requirements:

·       Proven experience in programme or project management within a manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environment.

·       Strong track record managing supplier performance initiatives, with specific focus on OTIF improvement influenced by purchasing, planning, operations, and quality issues.

·       Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in supplier-facing environments.

·       Excellent skills in tracking progress, reporting KPIs, and managing risk across complex programmes.

·       Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities across all organizational levels.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (O365) applications including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for programme tracking and reporting.

·       Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

·       Willingness to travel to supplier sites in the UK and EU.

Desirable Skills:

·       Sector experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.

·       Experience using O365 tools for collaborative project tracking, reporting, and dashboard creation.

·       Certifications in project/programme management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or supply chain disciplines.
