The Opportunity
G&P Quality Management are currently recruiting for an experienced Parts Quality Inspector to support a prestigious automotive OEM based in Woking, Surrey.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing environment responsible for producing some of the most desirable high-performance sports cars and supercars in the industry.
Working within the Manufacturing Quality team, you will play a critical role in ensuring all components and parts entering the production process meet the highest standards of quality, specification, and performance. You will work closely with Supplier Quality, Production, Engineering, and Logistics teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality concerns, ensuring only conforming parts reach the assembly line.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed inspection activities in line with established inspection plans and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report component defects, non-conformities, and quality concerns.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities to prevent repeat issues.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve quality concerns efficiently.
- Segregate and control non-conforming material from detection through to final disposition.
- Ensure accurate stock transactions and material control through SAP.
- Utilise precision measuring equipment and inspection tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and component conformity.
- Support daily quality reviews and provide feedback on emerging concerns and trends.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports using SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal quality systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing defects and improving overall product quality.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve inspection processes and manufacturing quality performance.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a quality inspection, manufacturing quality, or process-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection processes, and defect identification.
- Experience working to detailed work instructions and quality procedures.
- High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Automotive manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous.
