Reporting to the Supervisor / Business Manager, the Lead Quality Inspector will be responsible for organising and leading the day-to-day function of designated projects. Initially, you'll work independently, taking ownership of quality inspection activities at our Wellesbourne site. As you become established in the role, you'll progress to overseeing a team of up to 4–5 Quality Inspectors while supporting operations across the Wellesbourne and Gaydon sites, with occasional support at St Athan when required.
Working hours:

Flexibility may occasionally be required to support project requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organising and leading the day-to-day function of designated projects.
- Coordinating inspection activities and, once established, providing leadership and support to a team of up to 4–5 Quality Inspectors.
- Assigning tasks and ensuring inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to follow required Test Plans / WES.
- Controlling all NOK parts found during projects, ensuring correct packaging and stacking.
- Working alongside the Business Manager to quickly identify and resolve issues with minimal impact on production.
- Leading by example by carrying out hands-on inspection duties.
The ideal Lead Quality Inspector will have:
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering, production, automotive or quality inspection environments.
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, resilient and able to work independently.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to their own vehicle.
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Previous experience using SAP.
- Knowledge of writing work instructions.
This is a permanent position with opportunities for progression. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to their own vehicle, as travel between sites is required. Travel and mileage will be paid when travel to the St Athan site is required.
Please note, candidates must have the independent right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
