About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Toolroom Jig Borer to join our established CNC engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work on challenging projects involving the small batch production of complex, precision components.

Our client supplies in to various industries including Defence and Oil/Gas.

* Due to being the only Toolroom Jig Borer onsite we can only consider an experienced Toolroom Jig Borer who would be responsible for their own quality, throughout and management of work.

What You'll Be Doing As a Toolroom Jig Borer:

• Operating jig boring equipment to produce high-precision components
• Working with complex tooling and fixtures in a toolroom environment
• Manufacturing small batch runs of intricate parts to tight tolerances
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Maintaining quality standards throughout the production process

What We're Looking For From A Toolroom Jig Borer:

• Proven experience as a Jig Borer in a toolroom setting
• Confidence working with complex components and precision machinery
• Experience with Newall or Herbert Devlieg machines would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• GCSE level education or equivalent
• Ability to reliably commute to West Bromwich or willingness to relocate
