Are you an experienced HSE Project Manager or Compliance Lead with strong DSEAR knowledge and manufacturing experience?

- Based in Warwick, with visits to Blackpool and Warrington
This role is ideal for a seasoned HSE or compliance professional with strong project delivery capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and practical experience working with hazardous substances, paint shop operations and industrial risk controls.
Role Overview
You will lead the review, prioritisation and delivery of actions arising from a recent DSEAR assessment, ensuring risks are addressed in a structured, timely and compliant manner. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and HSE teams, you will coordinate activities, track progress, escalate barriers and drive improvements through to completion.
The role also includes an independent review of paint shop operations, benchmarking current practices against industry good practice and identifying opportunities for safety, compliance and operational enhancement. You will predominantly be based in Warwick, but will be expected to carry out site visits in Blackpool and Warrington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review DSEAR findings and validate action status
- Build and maintain a prioritised improvement plan
- Coordinate Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and HSE stakeholders
- Monitor progress and drive timely action closure
- Support improvements in hazardous substances and paint shop controls
- Track risks, issues and dependencies
- Escalate barriers and provide leadership updates
- Conduct an independent paint shop safety review
Essential Experience:
- Leading HSE, compliance or engineering improvement programmes
- Working knowledge of DSEAR and hazardous substances
- Strong project planning, reporting and problem‑solving skills
- Effective engagement from shop floor to senior leadership
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- Exposure to paint shops, spray booths or surface finishing
