Overview

We are currently seeking a Crash Test Technician to support vehicle testing activities. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on mechanical background who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for crash testing, including strip-down and build-up activities
• Install and remove test components, including EV Batteries and instrumentation as required
• Support pre-test setup to ensure vehicles meet test specifications
• Carry out post-test activities, including the safe removal of batteries and other components
• Inspect vehicles following testing and report any findings
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Work closely with engineers and test teams to ensure all deadlines are met

Requirements

• Previous experience in a mechanical, automotive, or workshop environment
• Data Collection & Reporting
• Good hands-on skills with tools and vehicle components
• Understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work to strict processes
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexible and proactive approach to work

Desirable

• Experience in crash testing or vehicle testing environments
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and battery handling
• Relevant automotive qualifications
