Composite Rework Technician
Location: Gaydon
Rate: £20.00 per hour PAYE
Duration: 3 weeks initially, with the possibility of extension
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently seeking experienced Composite Rework Technicians to support a prestigious automotive manufacturer on a specialist vehicle programme.
This role will involve carrying out rework and rectification activities on vehicle panels and assemblies, ensuring all components meet OEM quality standards before progressing through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Rework and modification of front fender assemblies, including replacement of mounting brackets.
- Carry out filler application using Teroson PU 92 on door assemblies.
- Perform filler and finishing work on bonnet assemblies.
- Complete primer application and paint preparation activities following repairs where required.
- Rectify scratches, dents, surface imperfections and manufacturing defects.
- Carry out rework on exposed carbon fibre components using approved materials and repair processes.
- Sanding, flatting, preparation and finishing of composite and painted panels.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections and quality checks.
- Work to engineering drawings, repair instructions and OEM standards.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in automotive rework, composite repair, vehicle preparation, paint preparation or body repair.
- Experience working with composite panels and carbon fibre components.
- Skilled in filler application, panel rectification and surface preparation.
- Ability to identify and rectify cosmetic defects to a high standard.
- Previous experience within automotive manufacturing, prototype, low-volume or luxury vehicle environments.
