Carbon Fibre Repair & Paint Process Specialist
This individual will provide hands-on support and technical guidance across carbon fibre repair, paint finishing, and process improvement activities.
- 12-week minimum contract
- Based in Italy

Key Responsibilities
- Support paint preparation of carbon fibre components, ensuring surfaces are correctly prepared for high-quality finishes.
- Provide expertise on achieving high-gloss finishes and reducing defects such as orange peel.
- Advise on paint chemistry, including mixing ratios, material selection, and application techniques.
- Support paint line and booth set-up, with a focus on cleanliness, drying, curing, and process control.
- Diagnose carbon fibre damage and determine whether components are suitable for repair, replacement, or further assessment.
- Restore carbon fibre components using best-practice techniques, including weave alignment, resin control, clear-coat blending, sanding, polishing, and finishing.
- Improve repair and finishing standards through training, coaching, and process development.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework, improve quality, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Record repair methods, materials used, and quality checks to support traceability and consistency.
Ideal Experience
- Proven experience repairing and refinishing carbon fibre components within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or high-end manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of composite materials, resin systems, and carbon fibre finishing techniques.
- Expertise in paint preparation, paint application, paint chemistry, and final finish improvement.
- Experience setting up and maintaining paint booths or paint line processes.
- Ability to identify root causes of paint and finish defects and implement corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently achieve high-quality cosmetic standards.
- Previous experience mentoring, training, or guiding technicians and supporting workshop improvements.
This role will be instrumental in maintaining exceptional standards across carbon fibre repair and paint finishing while acting as the go-to technical expert for composite and paint-related processes.
