Body in White (BIW) Technician

Location: Gaydon

Rate: £24.00 per hour

Contract: Inside IR35

Shifts: Weekly Rotation. 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm -01:00am

We are looking for experienced BIW Technicians to join a prestigious automotive manufacturing programme based in Gaydon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture and inspect vehicle body components against engineering and quality standards.
• Carry out BIW rework and rectification activities as required.
• Identify, record and report defects, concerns and build issues.
• Log flags, concerns and completion status using a tablet-based reporting system.
• Work from engineering drawings, process instructions and build documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
• Support prototype and low-volume vehicle build activities.

Requirements:

• Previous BIW, vehicle build, prototype build or automotive manufacturing experience.
• Ability to identify and rectify body-related defects and quality concerns.
• Comfortable using tablets and digital systems to record work and report issues.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successful completion of a trade test is required before starting.
