Are you an experienced automotive Quality or Manufacturing professional looking for your next contract opportunity?
We are supporting a prestigious automotive manufacturer in Gaydon, Warwickshire, and are seeking an Automotive Quality Technician to join their Supplier Parts Quality team.
This is a hands-on, production-based role focused on investigating supplier component concerns, implementing rapid containment and resolving quality issues to minimise disruption to production.

- £18.00 per hour PAYE
- Initial 3–6 month contract, with strong likelihood for ongoing extensions
- Site-based in Gaydon, Warwickshire
- 39 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 06:30–15:30 / Friday: 06:30–11:30

Role Overview
Working within the Supplier Parts Quality team, you’ll provide hands-on support to quickly identify, contain and resolve supplier-related quality issues within a fast-paced automotive production environment.
- Investigate supplier part and production quality concerns
- Assess dimensional, cosmetic, functional and fit-related defects
- Carry out containment, segregation and authorised component rework
- Use inspection equipment including Vernier calipers, micrometers and gap & flush gauges
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD information and GD&T specifications
- Support root cause investigation and structured problem-solving
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and supplier teams to resolve issues quickly
Essential Experience
- Automotive experience within Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering
- Good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
- Strong hands-on problem-solving and investigative skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, line-side production environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with 8D/G8D/PPS problem-solving, SPC, PPAP, GD&T and dimensional inspection would be advantageous.
