Leading global quality group G&P has announced the appointment of Kevin Hitchmough as UK business manager. The appointment demonstrates the firm’s commitment to operational investment, strengthening its service offer and further accelerating its ambitious growth plans.
Having spent more than 35 years in senior operations, process and engineering roles, Hitchmough brings proven expertise in OEM quality management across the automotive, logistics and defence sectors. Joining the business with experience working at Bentley Motors, he has previously worked for a number of global OEM brands including Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover.
Having started his career in the British Army’s Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME) Corps, Hitchmough is no stranger to driving manufacturing excellence. At G&P, he will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, aligning support services with customer goals, supporting sector expansion and providing on-site support to both new and existing customers.
Commenting on his appointment, Hitchmough said: “ For over 30 years, G&P has built an enviable reputation as the world’s leading quality group with expertise in engineering, inspection, technical and talent services to help manufacturers truly achieve operational excellence. With an international reach and strategic hubs in six countries, the business is positioned strongly for the future.
“I’m looking forward to playing a driving role in the G&P’s continued growth and working with clients to enhance resilience, transform processes and support the drive towards zero defects. With extensive experience across OEM quality management roles, I look forward to adding further added value to the business.”
Rupert Musgrove, UK managing director at G&P, added: “Further expanding our team with the appointment of Kevin shows our ambition, desire and commitment to delivering truly world-leading quality management services. Bringing knowledge, experience and best practice from several major OEMs, he will play an important role in helping to further strengthen G&P’s service offering across key vertical markets.”
Hitchmough’s appointment is the latest in a number of strategic appointments for G&P. Recently, with the aim of further expanding its global footprint and accelerating ambitious growth aspirations, the business strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Rupert Musgrove (managing director, UK) and Alex Onoufriou (manging director, G&P Talent).
